COLLECTION, CANCELLATION & RETURNS POLICY

 

 

Returns Collection:

 

  • Please note that there is no fixed charge for collections as this is very much dependant on size, distance and type of the goods. Please call client support on 01474 35 3000 for a collection quote. Alternatively you may choose your own form of insured return at your own cost.
  • Subject to the right of Consumers to return goods for refund under The Supply of Goods and Services Act and Distance Selling Regulations, Electrical-shopping.com does not sell products on a trial basis. Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.
  •  

Cancellation:

 

  • You have the right to cancel your purchase at any time either before or up to 7 working days starting the day after delivery by e-mailing us at stating your name, a description of the goods or services concerned and the order number of the cancelled order
  • The product you receive may not as exactly as it’s shown in the picture. You have the right to return such products within 14 days of receiving.
  • Your product must be complete and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging).
  • Please note that if you cancel an order, which has been processed and dispatched, you will be refunded the value of the goods less the return costs. However if you have received the goods and still wish to cancel or return, then please see collections. The 7-day period does not start until the day after receipt of the goods by the customer. Goods are refunded within 30 days.
  • It must not have been used or installed. It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories you received with it.
  • Software and memory cards can only be accepted if still sealed. This policy is to avoid any potential breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) 1988. All opened software is exempt from return under the terms of the distance Selling Regulations (SI2334/2000). Software that arrives damaged or is physically faulty may be returned under our normal returns policy.
  • A proof of purchase must be supplied.
  • You must return any free gifts which came with the product.
  • You must return any other products that came at a discount with the product, such as those selected in the left box of the product's page on this site
  • We will not refund any items that have been specially ordered to your individual specification or personalised.
  • Any vouchers (physical or virtual) that you have received or are due to receive as part of a cancelled order will be voided. If those vouchers have already been redeemed as part of another order then you will be charged the value of the vouchers.
  • Goods returned outside the 7 days cancellation period (but within 28 days of receipt) that can not be re-sold as new will only be refunded to their mail order return value and a credit note may be issued.
  • Where we have made a charge for postage, this will be deducted from your refund if outside of the 7 day cooling off period.
  • Electrical-shopping.com will not accept cancellation of any orders where the item(s) purchased are not normally held in stock but have been specifically ordered at the request of the customer.
  •  

Cannot Cancel your purchase if:

  • the seal has been broken on any memory cards, or software; or
  • the goods were a special order to your specification; or
  • 28 days has elapsed following receipt of the goods
  • Until such time as you return the goods to us you must take reasonable care of the item(s) and not use them. Any use of the delivered goods beyond that necessary to inspect the goods upon delivery will invalidate your right to cancel the contract.

 

Refunds:

 

  • Upon return of the goods, a full inspection will be carried out by our Returns department, who will check if all the correct products have been returned with the correct accessories and their condition. Any missing accessories will be deducted from the refund or charged for. An Indication of the charges for missing accessories:
    • 1. Chargers /Adaptors: £50 ex Vat
    • 2. Headphones: £30 ex Vat
    • 3. Instruction Manual: £20 ex Vat
    • 4. Lead: £30 ex Vat
    • 5. Media Card £50 ex Vat
    • 6. Memory stick £50 ex Vat
    • 7. Remote Control £65 ex Vat
    • 8. Product Stands missing or incomplete will be charged at the full replacement cost of the stand plus 25% handling fees.
    • 9. Miscellaneous £15 ex Vat.

 

Authorizing the Returns:

 

  • You MUST prior to returning any goods received, contact our Customer Services by e-mail at stating your name, a description of the goods or services concerned and the order number of the cancelled order. Failure to do so will result in a delay in processing your refund or the product being returned to you. All authorised returns must be returned to EDC Direct LTD, Unit 32, Acorn Industrial Estate, Crayford, DA1 4AL.
